The weather this morning was not in our favor and the mosquitoes were vicious!!! There wasn’t a breeze and the sun scorched my mosquito repellant drenched skin causing it to sting. We stepped it up to 6 miles, going over Bearcut Bridge and the Rickenbacker Causeway. My shins were holding up but Gus (running coach) and Jo-Ellen (walking coach) pointed out my limp. I have become accustomed to running that way in order to compensate for the shin pain. Gus finished the run with me so as to make sure I was in proper form. I don’t know if it was my mood, the weather, the mileage, the skeeters or a combination of all of them, but today’s run was the most grueling thus far. I’m NOT complaining though….
